The Great Vinyl Experiment
A recent rediscovery of the many delights of the Long Playing Record Album has led me to undertake what shall henceforth be known as The Great Vinyl Experiment of 2009, or at least what’s left of it.
I’ll be observing three simple rules as I go along; although I reserve the right to alter, delete or otherwise interfere with them as I see fit.
Here is the short version of the rules:
- Vinyl*
- Second-hand
- Charity Shops
For those playing along at home I’ll publish a favourites playlist from time to time and compile a ‘very very best of’ at the end.
* So no buying Compact Discs, Cassette Tapes, Eight Track Cartridges, Wax Cylinders or other formats long forgotten or yet to be invented until the year is out.
[...] I thoroughly approve of this collaboration and, in a special world that only I live in, I imagine it to have been inspired by my very own The Great Vinyl Experiment. [...]
